Know your damn role!

YESS!!. I got my D50 yesterday after waiting for few months.. huhuhu Now busy testing my new toys. Very busy this school holiday coz i got an apointment for my wife CONVOCATION, and 3-4 wedding invitations. It’s good time for me to test my DSLR… yeah

I went to Sepang Circuit yesterday to watch the final Go-Cart race ( Company Inter-Department ).
Watch only laa, and NOT participate in the race!
BUT main reason i go there is to test my friend DSLR ( 350D ) with his new lense 70-200mm. heheh OK la, not bad results!.

After 2 week back to malaysia, i start play my favorite sport, badminton
Join my company Inter-D sport challenges at Micheal Badminton Academy (MBA), Bandar Puteri. The training start at 6.30pm until 8.30pm
Half way into the training i feel my arm is hurting and whole body has muscle pain. ough!... ( after stop played badminton for 3 month)
btw, my skills still good and i never lost any games

After the sessions, i went to Shah Alam for another badminton game ( with my old friends). Play again until 11.30pm.
This is really2 crazy, i play badminton for 4 hours today ( i’m ready to replace Chong Wei for malaysian squad. hahaha)

Before that , i went to clinic to overhaul my teeth and fixed it ( rongak! patah masa gigit ayam kampung daa ).

This is my last trip in US!

Las Vegas. One of the famous city in States. We went there for 2 days and i really enjoy the trip
Reach Vegas airport at 12.30am and we decided to rent a car since next morning we planned to visit Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. My first impression of Las Vegas struck me as I walked through the airport. There are lots of slot machines at the terminal gate. Rented car is quite cheap here but we need to pay almost the same price for the insurance (rent=38/day insurance=40) and the car we get is Nissan Altima (medium car)
We get our car at 2am and then drive to Golden Gate Casino Hotel (3 star). So first activity after check-in is SLEEP

Saturday, 29April 06
9.30am – Take a breakfast at Subway then start the journey to Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon. First destination is Hoover Dam (only 30 miles from Vegas), the one of mankinds greatest achievements. Very impressive place! We walked across the dam as the boundary for Nevada.

After an hour, we continue our trip to Grand Canyon. We met the endless roads of the dry, desert landscape. I drove the car and pushed it all the way up till 90-100 miles/hour and still it felt like we were getting nowhere. After 3 hour drive, we finally got there and the landscape is so strange. We arrived at the Grand Canyon at about 3.30pm. The first view of the canyon is better than i imagined, it really is breathtaking. The complex formation of rocks creating shelves and cliffs at multiple levels is staggering. The beautiful colours of the rock that change as the sun moves and as you descend into the canyon cannot be captured in a picture nor adequately described by myself. The entire Grand Canyon experience was thrilling and blew my mind. This for me has been by far the best part of the trip so far. We end-up staying up till about 5 pm before going back to vegas (hotel)

10.00pm – After dinner, I and steven sended jimmy and his girlfriend back to hotel before go to airport to return the car. Then we take a shuttle bus to the Strip (or Las Vegas Boulevard as it is called). The neon lights from all the hotels light up the night. Riding the strip for the first time is a mind-blowing experience. See large hotels, casinos and then a drugstore and a souvenir shop. Each of these Casinos are interconnected either directly, by monorail or by a sky bridge system. Remember! Even if you don’t gamble, Las Vegas still manages to rape you.

We stop at Ceasar Palace. Huge of people gambling inside. So we decided to test our luck! Steven try his luck played “Banker and Player” while i just concentrate on Jackpot and Roulette. After 2 hours, i lost 30usd while steven won 120usd. WOW! Then we walk along the strip on the way back to the hotel (it’s already 3am).

Sunday, 30April 06
Woke up at 10.00am. Check-out from hotel and toward to the main street again. Planned to visit Hard Rock Cafe, Hooters, Harley Davidson, Coke, Planet Hollywood etc. Before went to main street, we try another luck at downtown casino. This time i won 60usd. Steven just watching me. Then we went to main street by shuttle bus (5 bucks for 24 hours & can take any shuttle busses). I buy some souvinir and t-shirts for friends in Malaysia

Planned to take a lunch at Hooters but we need to wait another 45 minutes for seats. So we cancelled it!. Before that, we went to New York New York, riding the Manhattan Express Roller Coaster. Really exciting! I have never been more scared in my entire life. But it was also the most fun I’ve ever had on a thrill ride.

Planned to go to Hard Rock Cafe cancelled. No more time, so we decided to go back to downtown, take our luggage and straight go to airport. We arranged with hotel shuttle-bus to pickup us at 6pm. That means we still have another 20 minute, so we go again to casino for the final gamble just for 15 minute only. Hehehe.. and with the lucky 15 minute, i won another 100usd and Steven lost his money back.. I’m so lucky ( probably coz that day i wear the “undefeated t-shirt”.. hahaha. But ‘seperti kata org.. duit judi haram dan tak kemana’, i lost all the money back. We’re late to the airport and need to pay penalty 25usd for the next flight to Los Angeles. Then need to pay another 50usd to luggage store since we’re late to pickup it as arranged. Padan Muka! )

Finally, we reach L.A airport and check-in for the next flight to Malaysia. So tired! Go to MAS VIP lounge and tibai all the foods. Agains, in the flight i tibai kaw kaw, so hungry ( i don’t care, bussiness class maa! )

I obviously survived the trip… It’s nice to be home again. Now it’s time to relax a bit, before going back to work. Will post later about my trip to Las Vegas. Damn! It’s very beautiful and nice place…
