A Blog Without Comments is Still a Blog

I agree. Most people blogging today and even some of them run big blog networks don’t even remember what the first blog even looked like. Comments do add value to the blog, to the conversation, but they aren’t the blog and they aren’t the conversation.

Each blog has it’s own voice and style. Comments can make a break a good blog though, so if you decide not to have them at least think about how it might impact the site. The hardest part is always removing them after they’ve been there a while. It’s hard to say you don’t want comments at the start. I mean, how can you know if it will get unwieldy?

I took this picture from lanie blog. :)
