Visiting Austin…

This is my first weekend here. We planned to go to Austin (Capital of Texas) to visit few places likes Hamilton Pool, Travis Dam and shopping at San Marcus. Having a breakfast at I-Hop first, then start moving to Austin at 9.30am. It took about 2 1/2hour drive. I’m luckly as i will not driving to go there and back ( No insurance to drive that car yet!)emoticonThe journey a bit bored, seeing the same view and landscape but it doesn’t stop us to snap lots of photos all the way (i took almost 250 photos til my battery gone)

Hamilton Pool
Hamilton Pool is one of the coolest places to hang out in the Austin area. A beautiful place in Travis County Park, it’s an underground cave that collapsed thousands of years ago, leaving a half dome-shaped ledge that covers part of the pool and 30 feet waterfall. About 0.3 mile from parking area, we took step hike down to the pool. This is the most beautiful thing i have seen in Texas so far.

Travis Lake & Mansfield Dam
We knew we wouln’t have much time, and that we would need to get some lunch in so we decided to head out to Lake Travis. We stopped at one of lake restaurants, ‘Oasis restaurant’. The restaurant is located 500 feet above Lake Travis and the scenery was damn very2 beautiful

Austin city & San Marcos
We went to the downtown after lunch. It’s a great and awesome city, fun to just walk around. Been there for just about 1 hour visiting the federal building and park. The entrance to enter the building is closed at 5.30pm so we just in time, managed to go to main area in the building. Great office but the Putrajaya building is more and more beautiful. Macam langit dan bumi bezanya! :)
Our last destination is San Marcus, the biggest shopping mall in Texas. This place is very damn bigger then i expected. For about 2 hours (walk and shopping), we just only spend half of the area. fuhh! One of the famous shop here is NIKE (crowded like crazy!).
So, guess how much i spend my $$$ here? emoticon
